The Most Wonderful Time of the Year
The Rembrandt Club has a long-standing tradition of decking the halls for our annual holiday party and fundraiser the first weekend of December. For more than 35 years we have purchased a large evergreen tree for Seaver House, decorated it, along with Seaver’s downstairs rooms, and held a festive gala dinner to celebrate the tree and the holidays for our members.
The following day, we have our biggest fundraiser, the Holiday Tea & Sale. For a modest entry fee, the whole community is invited for coffee, tea, our famous syllabub and treats both sweet and savory, along with music, and a special party for the children, including a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. Guests are encouraged to mingle, enjoy the tea, and purchase the baked goods and handcrafted items that our members have donated. We also have a raffle for a chance for massages, restaurant gift certificates, children’s books, and other cool gifts donated by our members and local merchants. Many Claremontians have been coming for generations to enjoy the party and stock up on gifts and food for the season.
